About Jelly Bread: Jelly Bread has been featured on some amazing Bend events including headlining Bend Summer Festival, Bend Fall Festival, Deschutes Brewery's Halloween Warehouse Party & McMenamins' St Patty's Day Celebration and over the last two years has built a steadfast following in the Bend area and throughout the Western U.S. Jelly Bread’s musical alchemy blends a dash of alt-rock with soul and funk, yet is thoroughly steeped in Rock-Americana. The band’s chameleonic playlist is highlighted by dual vocals, four part harmonies, in-the-pocket drum and bass grooves, swampy lap steel guitar, dirt under the fingernails guitar licks, and take-’em-to-church organ that is downright appetizing. Jelly Bread has emerged with a high-energy calling card that melds elements of desert twang and the urban tones of funk & rock, balanced by exceptional songwriting and storytelling.

Jelly Bread has been delving into more extensive touring this past year. This past year, Jelly Bread has been tapped to perform opening duties for the likes of Robert Cray, Robert Randolph and the Family Band, Dragon Smoke (members of Galactic), The Motet, Ivan Neville’s Dumpstaphunk, Lukas Nelson and the Promise of the Real, Pimps of Joytime, Sister Sparrow and the Dirty Birds and performed on a bill featuring Bruce Hornsby and Railroad Earth. The band has appeared at premiere festivals to include Joshua Tree, Strawberry and High Sierra Music Festivals.

Over the course of the 2013 summer, in between touring, Jelly Bread spent time recording at Imirage Sound Lab with Tom Gordon who has worked with the likes of Ozzy Osbourne, Collective Soul, Dr. Dre, Boyz II Men, Willie Nelson, Merle Haggard, among many others. After months of dedication, the band emerged with a their latest EP titled “Lessons Learned”.

The EP, which includes the head-nodding, signature energetic funk and rock soul listeners have come to expect from Jelly Bread, maintains the honest storytelling of the more Americana influences Jelly Bread has been rooted in since its inception.

Tapping Matt Smith (Biddewah Trunk) on drums, Tyler Mason (Tone Red, El Dante, FloorRide) on bass, Jarrod Donatelli (2nd Hand Soldiers, El Dante) on percussion and uber-talented young diva Ze Rox (Jaccuzi) on vocals, they have assembled a truly colorful collection of players, all of whom have tremendous chops and experience, as well as strong creative presence and drive. ElektraPod's repertoire is being built from the original works of Gabe Johnson, Brad Jones and Ze Rox and yet the band has also found group-writing very productive and rewarding, drawing on a lot of magic and synergy in a very short time. After high profile appearances at Deschutes Brewery's 25th Anniversary Concert, Bend Roots Revival, Bite of Bend, Cruxapalooza, Bend Fall Fest and McMenamins Halloween Celebration, Elektrapod is quickly becoming known as one of the hottest live bands to have ever emerged from the Central Oregon area. Parallel 44 Presents is proud to be hosting KUNG FU, one of the hottest bands on the national jam scene today, at Volcanic Theatre Pub on Thursday, February 26th. Fresh off a breakout appearance on Jamcruise and many appearances at major festivals in 2014, this band is coming in extremely hot ! Rarely have you seen a band shred like this. Come join in the fun ! HI-YA !

Doors at 8:30PM. Show starts at 9:30PM and goes late. All Ages. $8 advance / $12 door.

About Kung Fu:

Proud to be firmly installed in the new-funk movement, KUNG FU is quickly popularizing their unique sonic contribution, blurring the line between intense electro-fusion, and blistering dance arrangements. Making fusion music "cool" again, the band draws on influences such as early Headhunters and Weather Report, and merges those ideas with a contemporary EDM informed sensibility. Imagine 70's funk-fusion meets a modern dance party!

Although the ensemble cast enjoys a seasoned pedigree that reads like a late-night summer festival all-star jam, this fledgling "nu-sion" project is growing a unique and rabid following by commanding audiences at theaters, clubs, and major national festivals, all within the past 18 months.

Kung Fu features Tim Palmieri (guitar), Robert Somerville (tenor sax), Todd Stoops (keyboards), Chris DeAngelis (bass guitar), and Adrian Tramontano (drums/percussion). The powerhouse quintet's live show has been described by critics and fans alike as "lethal funk", "explosive", "jaw dropping", and "musically mesmerizing". For the uninitiated, the experience is typically shocking yet the focus is simple:

Parallel 44 Presents is proud to present WORLD'S FINEST, one of the hottest acts in the West, at Volcanic Theatre Pub on Friday, March 6th. This band slayed New Year's at McMenamins and is ready to put on another no-holds-barred over-the-top dance party in Bend.

About World's Finest:

Funky Punky Acoustic Dub Ska Honkytonk Reggae Jam Bluegrass Rowdiness!!!

"Since early 2011, World's Finest has turned many ears and hearts on to their one-of-a-kind sound. Creating what could best ...be described as Neo-Americana, they've bridged the gap between folk and bluegrass, ska and rock. Comprised of five members: Chris Couch (acoustic guitar, vox), Dan Hurley (electric banjo, vox), Sean McLean (sax, vox), Evan Malfer (upright bass), and Mike Apodaca (drums), the band constantly pushes their instrumentation to new limits; both in the studio and during their high-energy live performances. As individuals, they have separately played and lived music for many years. As a unit, they undoubtedly have found inspiration in each other's taste, talents, and sensibilities.

Strong songwriting, inventive band interplay, beautiful vocal harmonies, and vivid improvisation are only a handful of the reasons why the band has garnered critical acclaim and an ever-growing regional and national fan base. With two full length albums, Pattern (2012) and "33" (2012), the group is amassing their strongest material yet for their newest record, due to be recorded in the spring/summer of 2014.

Constantly hitting the road, World's Finest has already toured up and down the West Coast, playing in such beautifully renown venues as The Crystal Ballroom, The Wonder Ballroom, Horning's Hideout, and the WOW Hall. Never satisfied to settle, World's Finest is gearing up to tour through new markets in the U.S. and throughout the world."
